The Academy of Product Safety Attorneys (APSA) is a national organization with the mission of promotinh product safety through education, awareness and advocacy. The “Academy” is a coalition of product safety attorneys working to make products safer through a unified voice.

The Academy was formed to leverage its members’ collective expertise in the areas of automotive and consumer product liability, and use both traditional and social media as well as its consumer, government agency and legal ties to spot trends, educate the public and advocate for change where needed.  The group includes safety and consumer advocates who have the ability, through their stellar individual reputations and successful legal track record, to speak as advocates for public safety.

Jaime D. Jackson, a partner at Atlee Hall in Lancaster, PA, was recently named the President of APSA. Jaime has worked as a trial attorney for almost 20 years with a background focused in auto products liability and medical malpractice. Jaime isn’t shy to take on big names and corporations to achieve justice for clients and to ensure the safety of the whole community. Devoted to consumer justice beyond the courtroom, Jaime is an avid speaker at national conferences. He serves on the Board of Governors for Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the American Association of Justice, and is a Pennsylvania Delegate to the American Association for Justice. Differentiated by his experience and his ability to handle large, multi-faceted cases, Jaime was recognized as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer in Pennsylvania each year from 2012-2017 and for the last decade, as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.

The board of directors is comprised of attorneys from coast to coast and includes: Todd Wahlburg from Oakland, CA, Brendan Leydon from Stamford Connecticut, Rich Newsome from Orlando, Florida, and Thadd Llaurado from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
